Clients react in different ways to their treatment. You may experience a feeling of wellbeing and relaxation or you may feel quite tired and drained emotionally. This is perfectly natural and will pass, as it is part of the healing process that reflexology works on. An aftercare leaflet will be given to you at your initial treatment.
It is advisable to drink stay hydrated during the 24 hours following your treatment , as this will help eliminate toxins that have been released during treatment. It is also advisable to avoid alcohol and substantial meals for that day in order to gain maximum benefits from your session.
This can vary with each client, but to make a significant change to your condition it is recommended that a course of treatments – preferably 4 to 6 – may be beneficial for you. If there is an improvement after this time, you may wish to extend this to fortnightly or monthly sessions to help maintain good health.
You should preferably wear loose clothing, as this will make you feel more comfortable. You will remain fully clothed throughout the treatment apart from the removal of your shoes and socks.
